Lance Thackeray apparently did at least 3 series ofLeap Year
cards for Tuck, with each series likely having at least 5 cards.
They are all signed and beautifully executed. Thackeray was
a talented English artist who did book illustrations and was a
founding member of the London Sketch Club. Thackeray did
several series for Tuck on table tennis, bridge, cricket, golf,
billiards, and that new-fangled contraption, the automobile.

Thackeray's image from his "Running the Gauntlet" card was
stolen by the Morris company and republished without attribution.
