[K] Semi-photo

A Leap Year frame up

A Leap Year Rehearsal
These cards date from 1908 and the code "[K] Semi-photo" appears
on the back.

They are not real photo cards. They all have a glossy, varnish-like
coating which has yellowed as it aged. Cards have a number in the
lower left corner of the front.

The writing on one of these cards reads: "This is probably the last
Leap Year card you will get till 1912. Thought I would send it or it
would get old."

I would appreciate any information on these cards.

Stylistically, these cards are very similar to a series by Roth & Langley.
